 Q: How do I upload a resume?

A: Resumes are uploaded to the eRecruiting system when using the Bobcat Online Job Search Program. The resume must be in Word format or Rich Text Format. Navigate to the Documents section of eRecruiting and choose Resume as the type of document to upload. Use the Browse button to find the file on your computer and click Open. Click on Upload and your file will be converted to a PDF file after uploading. For complete instructions on uploading & publishing your resume, view the Registration Manual online at http://www.ohio.edu/careers/

Q: How do I submit applications?

A: Click the Jobs & Internships button on the main navigation bar in eRecruiting and select the position that you are interested in. Click the Apply button displayed in the “How to Apply” section. (If the Apply button is not present, information is displayed indicating why you cannot currently apply for the job/internship.) The “Apply to Job/Internship” page is displayed. Select the document(s) you want to send to the employer. Click the Submit button. Complete instructions are available beginning on page 9 of the Registration Manual at http://www.ohio.edu/careers/

Q: How do I sign up for interview times?

A: Once you have clicked on the Applications link on the main navigational bar in eRecruiting, the applications page will display a list of your active applications. Once an employer has accepted your job application, you may sign up for an interview schedule slot. Click on the Details link for the desired position. On the “Application Details” page, under “Employer Decision,” click on the link to Sign Up for Interview. Click on the Time radio button you desire and Save. Complete instructions are available beginning on page 11 of the Registration Manual at http://www.ohio.edu/careers/

Q: Why does my application say ‘undecided’?

A: In a Prescreen (Closed) Schedule, employers will use “prescreening” to fill their interview schedules and will select the candidates they wish to interview. If the status of your application is ‘undecided’, the employer has not yet made a determination of your resume and application. Preselects should be submitted by employers according to the deadline date in the interviewing timeline, http://www.ohio.edu/careers/students/interview_timeline.cfm. If your application status is still ‘undecided’ after the deadline date, contact our Recruiting Coordinator at 740-593-2909.

Q: What if I need to cancel my interview?

A: If you have previously signed up for an interview slot for a job/internship, you can cancel your interview two working days prior to the actual interview date. Simply click on the Events link on the main navigation bar. On the Events page, click on the link for the interview you wish to cancel.   (Be sure to read the No Show/Late Cancellation Policy Located in the Registration Manual- http://www.ohio.edu/careers/)
